About Me
Right from the time my father bought his first Voightlander 35mm film camera when I was about 5 years old, I became fascinated with the process of taking live images and recording them onto film. Although he was a dentist (and a darned good one!), he was not so technically inclined. So, it was left up to me to figure out this camera with f/stops, shutter speeds, light meters, etc. Not to mention all these film types such as ASA100, 400, etc.
After perfecting the art of that camera in my early teens, it was time for me to move up to Single Lens Reflex (SLR) cameras where I could actually change lenses and open up new worlds to not only myself but to those whom I shot. I was the family photog shooting anything and everything that passed by my lens.
Over the years I have worked in photo labs, blueprint companies, movie studios as a still photographer, actor and stuntman, event, wedding, and Bar Mitzvah photographer, and anything else that caught my eye.
Fast-forward to 2005 and many cameras later, I made the move to digital and never looked back. Gone are the days of shooting 35mm film (although I do still shoot some film for effect) and on to the days of chips, memory cards and gigabytes. The technology is different but the process is the same: 1) Compose the shot, 2) Take the shot 3) Process the shot and 4) Voila!
Today, I am available for all types of events and not necessarily focused on any one genre because every wedding is different, every model shoot is different; every time I shoot, things are never the same. They are always fun and exciting and I have much passion around what I do. I do, however, love doing portraits, and shooting candids!
If you are looking for a photographer who is passionate about his work and strives for perfection, give me a call. You will be glad you did.
